Wallboost (often referred to as a woost) is a technique that allows you to boost off a wall and instantly get a lot of speed.

Wallboosting is performed by jumping towards a wall in a mach run state without holding DASH, then after wallbouncing, spin in the opposite direction. The earlier the spin the more speed is given, up to 17 speed can be obtained by a wallboost.

Doing a wallboost will put you in a positive mach state, similar to a Machbounce, and your horizontal speed will decrease by 0.1 per frame until it reaches your movement speed of 12. Touching the ground will put you at 12 speed aswell. To counter this, you can do a tornado to preserve any speed you get through a wallboost. It is recommended to use a Fast Fall Multibind to instantly tornado after spinning off the wallbounce to easily retain maximum speed off a wallboost.

Due to the positive mach properties of a wallbounce, it is possible to Tasmach from it.

Hyper Wallboost

Hyper Wallboost (Often referred to as hyperwoost or hywoost) is the faster version of this technique where you gain up to 23 speed instead of 17.

Just like wallboosting, hyper wallboosting starts off by jumping towards a wall in a mach run without holding DASH, then after wallbouncing, spin in the opposite direction and do a tornado to preserve speed. There are 2 methods:

  1. Do a crusher jump one frame after the tornado is performed. This method requires the crusher jump to be frame perfect.
  2. After spinning, press GROUNDPOUND, UP, and JUMP in the same frame. This method is much easier as it can be done with multibinds.

Unlike a normal wallboost, a hyper wallboost can only be done to the right.

Super Cool Hyper Wallboost

Super Cool Hyper Wallboost (Often referred to as schwoost) is the much harder version of this technique where you gain up to 36 (?) speed and retain mach state instead of being in a tornado state. This technique is far harder as it requires multiple frame perfect and pixel perfect inputs.
