Taunt Cancel is the act of canceling the taunt animation but the game still acts as if you have taunted. This trick enables door taunt points to be obtained much faster than normal, and is useful in 100%/101%.
To perform this trick, hold the DASH button and be in mach 1/2 state, then press GRAB and TAUNT in the same frame. This can be chained together with Mach Cancel, effectively allowing you to taunt cancel and gain door taunt points in quick succession.
