Fake Peppino is the Floor 4 boss fight in Pizza Tower.

Boss Behaviour

Fake Peppino has 6 health points, and will rotate between 6 different attacks each time you hit him. To deal damage, you must hit him with 2 grabs to stun him, then hit him a third time to hurt him. Peppino gains invincibility frames after the first hit, so stay mindful and don’t be too hasty.

In the first phase, each time you damage Fake Peppino he will summon many clones to attack you. These clones cannot be hurt, forcing you to go on the defensive until the next attack begins.

In the second phase, these “clone phases” are dropped. Instead, you must fight Fake Peppino and one clone at the same time. You can only hurt the “real” Fake Peppino, but you can do so the same way as in phase 1. You can identify clones by their behavior or by noticing their clothes are slightly darker.

The attacks used by the clone will vary as you deliver each hit. Otherwise the fight can be continued in mostly the same way as in the first phase. Also, since there’s no clone phases, you may be able to quickly sneak in an extra attack after each third hit (after stunning and damaging the boss). Remembering to do this can help you save time.

Strategies

Fast Escape Dives

Beginner - Any% - True Ending - 100%

During the final chase, there’s a couple of sections where trying to dive down at full speed will cause you to bonk against the wall. You can get a clean dive through if you perform a grab slide in order to slow down slightly.

Fast Phase 2 Mach Run Attack

Beginner - Any% - True Ending - 100%

In the second phase of the fight there is a consistent setup to be able to hit Fake Peppino twice before he's able to do his full attack, effectively skipping the multiple laps that he does around the arena.
