Burg Skip

Burg Skip is a trick used in GOLF to skip a significant portion of the escape. It is performed by setting up the Burger Golfer facing left so it hits the Greaseball into Pillar John and trigger the escape for you while you make a run back to the door you came from.

Note that performing the skip will cause you to miss the pineapple toppin unless you come back to grab it during lap 2.

Beginner Setup

  • Right as you enter the final course, grab and jump onto the platform Greaseball is on.
  • Grab slide into the Greaseball to send him further into the room.
  • After hitting the ball, link the grab slide into a dash, then taunt once.
    • This gives time for the greaseball to fly further into the room and avoids the possibility of hitting it in midair, which may cause you to travel farther and smash the burger into the right wall.
  • Grab the Burger Golfer while dashing. This will cause you to spin the enemy around, hitting the greaseball again and killing the rest of the enemies in the room while keeping the Burger Golfer alive.
  • Put down the Burger Golfer (by crouching) on top of the nose holding the Greaseball . Make sure the Burger Golfer is facing left.
  • Quickly run back to the entrance of the room before the Burger Golfer recovers. If done correctly you should reach the door just before the Burger Golfer hits the Greaseball into John, triggering the escape.
    • If you need more time to reach the door, you may place the Burger Golfer further to the right. This will make it so the Burger Golfer has to walk a bit before reaching the Greaseball, giving you a couple extra seconds to get in position.
    • For True Ending, place the golfer to the right of the nose and facing right. This will give you the most extra time possible, which you’ll need to grab Gerome on your way out.

Intermediate Setup

  • Immediately as you enter the final course, grab and jump onto the platform Greaseball is on.
  • Grab slide into the Greaseball to send him further into the room.
  • After hitting the ball, link the grab slide into a dash.
  • As you approach the first golf demon, do a small hop and dive into it from just above.
    • This is done to keep your speed low. Neglecting to do this may cause the golf demon to not be killed by the greaseball, which may delay you.
    • An easier, albeit slower alternative is to run over the golf demon and taunt once. This way, rather than keep your speed low you stall for a moment instead for the same effect.
  • As you reach the ledge, hold DOWN.
    • If everything goes well, the greaseball will kill the golf demon ahead and your slide will safely drag the burger golfer to the right end of the room.
  • Get up, Mach Cancel, then grab the burger golfer you’ve been dragging with you.
  • Place down the Burger Golfer (by crouching) on top of the nose holding the Greaseball. Make sure the Burger Golfer is facing left.
  • Quickly run back to the entrance of the room before the Burger Golfer recovers. If done correctly you should reach the door just before the Burger Golfer hits the Greaseball into John, triggering the escape.
