Tornado Cancel

Tornado Cancel is a Noise exclusive tech allowing you to cancel the Tornado move instantly. This is very commonly used as it also allows you to instantaneously gain Mach 3 Speed from standstill.

To perform a Tornado Cancel, first be in the Tornado action. This can be done by holding RUN then JUMP (or performing a Long Jump with GRAB and JUMP), then pressing DOWN. This will put you in the Tornado action. Once you are in a Tornado, wait until you are grounded. Once you are grounded, press GRAB and release DOWN. This will put you in the Mach 3 state.

If you swap directions while in the Tornado, this can also be used to instantaneously gain Mach 3 in the opposite direction that you were headed. Note that this technique only gives 12 Speed, so it is not optimal to use if you already have 12 Speed.
